Explanation : Jesus tells the parable about 4 different soils. The word of God is like the seed that the sower sowed. Some seeds fell on the road, and the birds came and devoured them. That represents the evil spirit that snatches away what is sown in the human heart. The second soil is the rocky ground. There is not enough soil for roots, then the heat of the sun scorch them to dead. This means that tribulation and persecution prevent the human heart from living the word of God. The third soil is full with thorns that choke the growing seed. This symbolises the worldliness and desires of the flesh that choke the growth of Gods word in the human heart. The fourth soil is the good soil, that brings forth grain, some 100, some 60, some 40 fold. This symbolises the human heart that bears fruits of the Holy Spirit (Mat 13:1-23; Luc 8:4).

Penjelasan : Firman Allah adalah seperti benih yang ditabur. Sebagian benih itu jatuh di jalan, lalu datanglah burung dan memakannya sampai habis. Burung itu melambangkan roh jahat yang merampas sabda yang difirmankan ke dalam hati manusia. Tanah kedua adalah tanah berbatu. Tidak ada cukup tanah untuk akar, maka panas matahari membuat pohon itu menjadi layu. Ini berarti bahwa kesengsaraan dan penganiayaan membuat hidup firman Allah tidak tumbuh di hati manusia. Tanah ketiga adalah tanah yang penuh dengan duri yang mendesak benih yang tumbuh. Ini melambangkan keduniawian dan keinginan daging yang menghimpit Sabda dalam hati manusia. Tanah keempat adalah tanah yang baik, yang membuahkan hasil, ada yang 100, 60, 40 kali lipat. Tanah ini melambangkan hati manusia yang penuh dengan buah-buah Roh Kudus (Mat 13:1-23; Luk 8:4).
