Explanation : Jesus told a parable aboutn 10 maiden who had to welcome and escort a bride and groom into the reception hall. But the bridegroom was delayed, so they slumbered and slept. In the middle of the night, the bridegroom came, they had to be ready. But 5 maiden had not brought flasks of extra oil. So they had to buy oil first. In the mean time, came the bridegroom. And only the 5 wise maiden were ready to escort the bridegroom into the marriage feast. When the 5 foolish maiden came back, the door to the marriage feast was already closed (Mat 25:1).

Penjelasan : Yesus menceritakan sebuah perumpamaan. Ada 10 gadis yang harus menyambut dan mengawal pengantin ke ruang resepsi. Namun kedatangan mempelai itu tertunda, sehingga mereka tertidur. Di tengah malam, datanglah berita bahwa mempelai akan segera tiba. Mereka harus siap. Namun 5 gadis tidak membawa cadangan minyak untuk pelita. Jadi mereka harus membeli minyak terlebih dahulu, agar pelita mereka tetap menyala. Tibalah saatnya mempelai datang, hanya ada 5 gadis yang bijaksana, siap untuk mengawal pengantin pria ke pesta pernikahan. Ketika 5 gadis bodoh kembali, pintu ke pesta pernikahan sudah ditutup (Mat 25:1).
